The monitoring of state regulations on smartphone use at school is the subject of current debates: ban or no ban and balance?

Smartphone bans in schools are growing: 40% of countries now ban them, up from 24% ( GEM 2023 Report UNESCO).

Research reveals that banning mobiles in schools can improve socializing, (informal) play, physical activity, learning outcomes, privacy and mental health ( UNESCO, 2025). Ban or balance? What is your opinion?
