Celebration of the teachers on World Teachers’ Day 5 October 2025

Teachers are the backbone of Quality Education: they drive learning and inclusion in schools, and in doing so, strengthen the very social fabric of our societies.

Teachers play an important role in the education system by promoting learning, inclusion, and innovation in schools and societies. Teachers play a central role in overcoming social inequalities and promoting equal opportunities. Many work without cooperative structures that support their pedagogy, capacity to act, professionalism, or well-being. They not only impart knowledge, but also reinforce values such as respect, tolerance, and social cohesion. Through their work, they make a decisive contribution to the development of an educated, democratic, and just society.

The UNESCO Chair team is also in close contact with many teachers on the subject of Quality Physical Education and values the enriching collaboration with them. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for this collaboration. On October 5, International Teachers' Day, they are honored and celebrated.
